Anyhow...thanks for hanging in there with me. I hope to return to blogger on a more regular basis this summer.
While we were home for a short week, we kept very busy. The girls had Bible School every day, also took in a few days of summer camp at The Little Gym, went swimming at the gym, starting priming the HOT PINK bathroom (not fun), had the carpets cleaned, in-laws came to town, continued painting the darn HOT PINK bathroom, celebrated Jamie's birthday by trying to go tubing down the Guadalupe River (but rain and a gazillion people changed our minds), enjoyed the quaint little town of Gruene instead, took in a yummo dinner at the Gruene River Grill, kept painting that DANG HOT PINK bathroom (my MIL gets all the credit for sticking with it), mowed the lawn and pulled lots of weeds (thanks Jamie and Jeff), cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more and finally finished that DANG HOT PINK bathroom just in time to get out of town Sunday afternoon and head back to Dallas!!! Whew! What a week/weekend. I've now learned my lesson. I love bright bold colors, but not so much in my house! To try and change a bright bold color back to normal is a total pain in the *YOU KNOW WHAT*.

I wish I would have taken more pics, but was too busy to think about it.
We're busy again this week taking in a summer camp at the Dallas Arboretum. The girls are loving it. And of course we are still swimming everyday!! We're trying to stay cool, since the heat is keeping steady at 98 degrees (give or take a few). HOT HOT HOT!
Better run for now. Hope you're all having a great week.

ahhhh, don't scare me with the painting thing. i have my one red kitchen wall and i was contemplating changing it or redo-ing it due to a 2 yr. old taking a marker to it! but geez it looks like you guys had a tough time with that HOT PINK rr. good to see you guys are staying busy. have a greak rest of the week!
Painting always seems like a good idea until you are about 1/2 way through it right? We painted DD's room an obnoxious shade of raspberry and I sure hope we don't have to sell and try to get it back to a more neutral color anytime soon. Glad you are having lots of fun with the girls. Enjoy the rest of your week!
The kids room here at my mom's is a DARK shade of blue! I mean, it's BLUE! We painted it that shade of blue when we lived here before and Lij was little and had his whole Blues Clues room! I wanted to paint it before we moved back but didn't have the time. Did you guys prime it before painting it? I think it's needs less coats of paint to cover up a dark wall if you prime first. At least that's what Elijah's dad tells me and he does this kind of stuff for a living :)
Oh, please don't remind me about the horrors of painting! I dread even the thought of having to paint my turquoise dining area back to normal should Bryan get orders to relocate, and we have to sell our house. Kudos to you for sticking to it!
