I got to spend a few hours with some really sweet girls on Saturday. I went to a beautiful baby shower for my darling friend LAUREN. She is due next month. So happy for her and her family. She has such great friends and family. I can't wait to meet her beautiful baby girl!!
Right after the shower, we jumped in the car and were on our way to Dallas for the remainder of the weekend. I had to be up there for a Monday morning ultrasound appointment with my specialist. But first we stopped in Austin for what I thought would be a quick meeting. Jamie was going to meet with somebody regarding a new restaurant that is opening up in that area. Well, the quick meeting turned into almost 4 hours. If I would have known it was going to be that long, I would have taken the girls to the mall. But we just kept driving around the area where he was meeting and never really got to enjoy ourselves that much, since I was thinking he'd be calling any minute!! Oh well. I'm glad it went well.

We finally made it to Dallas and were able to relax with Lala and Papa. We took in a little shopping at Southlake and the girls enjoyed swimming with their cousins.

We were blessed again this time around. My ultrasound went well. The doctor said he didn't get such a great shot of the heart, so I need to go back again in 3 weeks for another. But he said everything else was looking great! And it's still a boy! I had a dream the night before that I had my baby and it turned out to be a girl. The tech had made a mistake! So that was the first thing I asked...is it still a boy??? She showed us the "turtle". I don't know exactly where they get that from or why they use that terminology...there was no way we could tell it was a boy or had boy parts, etc. But she said it's definitely a boy!! Ok...hopefully I won't have anymore dreams about girl babies!

I'm sure you've heard it before, but my girls are really starting to show their "specialties". Lauren is and has been for quite a while...an artist. She really spends a lot of time drawing and making such detailed pictures. Her teacher has already pointed that out to me, that she is such a good artist! YAY...that makes me so happy. And Bella, as I've said recently, is really showing a lot of interest in cooking (like daddy). She helped him make tequila chicken last week and loved the flame part (where you cook off the alcohol). I'm so glad they are taking interest in something that each of us loves so much!
* Drawing a picture for teacher
* tenderizing the chicken.
Here's a glimpse of my Halloween Decos. Most of you have seen the banner from last year. My longtime friend - Allycia - called and asked about the banner. I told her I would make her one for her birthday coming up. When I finally pulled it out of the box, I remembered how much fun I had making it and now I really want to make another one this year!! SO...that's going to be my little project this week. Check back to see what I come up with!!

.
Hoping you're all having a great start to your week! Need to do something productive today...laters!!
.
P.S. What do you all think about Elsie resigning from KI? No more Love, Elsie products. Such a bummer! I had a feeling that was going to happen. Best of luck to her!

Oh that banner ROCKS! I am working on a couple of Halloween projects too. So fun! I can't believe that there won't be any more Love, Elsie but I am anxious to see what she has up her sleeve next. Oh and so glad the turtle is still there:) Have a great week!
You should make those banners and SELL THEM! I LOVE LOVE it.
A baby boy, how EXCITING!!!! I've had 3 of them so you know who to call if you need some little boys advice (wink wink). I'm SO out of the scrapbooking loop, had no idea about Elsie and I have to say I'm quite bummed although my hubby & checkbook will be happy about that! LOVE your spooky banner.
Your banner ROCKS!!! I can't wait to see what the new one looks like cause from what I can see, it looks awesome:) I so want to make one. Maybe I'll get motivated after seeing yours:)
