Big Tex...

was awesome! It was a fast paced weekend, but lots of fun. Our Saturday morning started off with a little sidewalk chalk while Lala read the paper. * Trying out Ali Edward's Week In The Life photos. I think I'm going to start doing it. If you want more info, go here.

.
Next up...the DART. We jumped on the train to take us to the Fairgrounds. It was a first for most of us...riding the Dallas transit system.

* It was a great spot for some photos!

.

And here we are at the State Fair of Texas!! YeeHa.

* Tallest Ferris Wheel in North America...just look at how many cars are on there!! I'm the only who didn't go on it...stayed back to take a few pics. Next time for sure!
.
Time for some rides. The girls had the best time on these!

.

Trying one of the crazy fried foods that the fair is known for. Can you guess what this is????

.

If you guessed Fried Jelly Belly's...then you are correct. I couldn't do it. I was all down for the Fried Banana Pudding...yum! One thing that Jamie really wanted to try, but couldn't find, was the Chicken Fried Bacon. Yowza...like bacon isn't bad enough for you just on it's own!! Kinda glad we didn't find it!!

.

Next stop...the popular Fletcher's Corny Dog stand. Everyone was down for these favorites. I think everybody at the fair stopped for one of these!!

.

Here's my shot of the day...Bella standing on her tip toes to try and make it on certain rides. We had nothing to do with it, I swear!!
.
Big Tex greeting everyone coming in...

.

And the last shot of the day...worn out from the walking and the heat!

.

If you're ever in Dallas in early October...you otta check out the fair. Lots of fun!!

Awwww! I'm so jealous! I miss the state fair...it was one of my favorite things to do in Dallas. I don't know about those fried jelly beans, though. Blech! LOL!
