Glad to be in TX

So if you're not from around our neck of the woods, you might not know that Minot and other parts of ND are getting major flooding. I've seen on FB and online that it's getting worse and yesterday they got a ton of rain which made things even worse around town. I feel terrible for all of the people who are dealing with water in their homes and elsewhere. It's pretty depressing...the flooding first of all, but then the weather! OMG! It's almost June and Minot is still in the 50's and getting nothing close to summer weather. That's when I have to appreciate the TX heat right now.

It's been in the 90's since we got here and the humidity is pretty gross, but I am happy to be here and enjoying the backyard pool that we get to jump in anytime of day. We even went to the Dallas Zoo yesterday and ran around for half the day. Lots of fun until the very end when Jace couldn't take it any longer! He screamed and cried himself to sleep once we got in the car...and slept for over 2 hours.

Well...I best be getting the kids ready to swim again! That's the first they ask when we get up..."can we go swimming?" and it isn't even 8 o'clock yet!!
