Went well.
Yesterday...she jumped in the car and had a huge smile on her face. She said she had lots of fun and liked her teacher. We felt good about it. The only thing we didn't like was the picking up process. Specht needs more parking spaces and much more room for the EXPRESS pickup.
This morning, I got her up a few minutes earlier than yesterday and she asked me right away if she was going to have to get up "sooooo early" everyday? She noticed that it was still dark out when she got up. I agree, it's pretty early, but as long as I can squeeze in a little cat nap during the day, I'm fine! Plus the early bed time is pretty dang nice, too. She wasn't ready for us to drop her off by herself today (and I wasn't either...just daddy was!!), so maybe by next week she'll feel confident enough to go in by herself.
When I picked her up today, she barely acknowledged me. She was busy playing with her new girl friends and didn't want to leave! I was happy to see that she was enjoying herself. She gave them big hugs and off we went.
Some of the things she has said...she'd like to have lunch at school, instead of me sending her lunch from home AND she wants to walk to and from school. I told her we could compromise on the lunch thing, but as far as walking to school...not gonna happen. We don't live close enough!!
Ok...that does it for today's kinder report. Stay tuned for more...

Yay, seems like our kiddos are all adjusting pretty well to Kinder. Thank goodness.
Awww...so cute:) I think little girls do better because they are more social IMO. My daughter was the same way from day one of kinder. She had her little girlfriends and she looked forward to school everyday. It's hard in the summer because we don't really have other little girls in our neighborhood or our family for her to play with:(
Glad to hear she is loving it though. She'll get used to the hours...we all will;)
